My Gloria Allroad Gravel Build: Installing Wheeltop GeX & Pro Setup Secrets

I’ve finally gotten Gloria Allroad fully built, though the journey had its fair share of hurdles. Getting the hydraulic lines through the frame was the first headache. After wasting too much time on "DIY hacks," I spent £15 on a magnetic routing kit from Amazon, and it was a complete game-changer. I found that using a large Allen key to pass magnetism through tight spots near the bottom bracket made the cable snap right into place.
Installing the WHEELTOP GeX wireless groupset was a learning curve. My biggest gripe? Those microscopic C-clips on the brake pad screws—one ping and they’re gone forever. I actually had to buy a whole assortment box because I kept losing them! For the hydraulic hoses, I made my own plastic clamp to press in the inserts securely. When it came to bleeding, I discovered that shaking the calipers and tilting the bike vertically is the secret to getting that rock-solid lever feel.
I decided to treat the bike to some Fulcrum Sharq ALX wheels. Their 2-Way Fit system is brilliant; I can seat my Schwalbe tires with just a simple electric pump. The real magic, though, is the WHEELTOP app. Since this system works with almost any cassette, I had to do some fine-tuning. I love that I can adjust the position of every single gear individually on my phone—it’s much more logical than traditional cable tension. To top it off, I installed Redshift’s Cruise Control grips and their extra-long tape. My hands are going to thank me on those long, bumpy rides. Gloria is finally ready to hit the gravel!
