CNC Aluminum Thru Axle

High-quality 12 mm thru axles for road and mountain bikes, front and rear. Each one is CNC-machined from a single aluminum alloy bar with a hollow core, so it is light without giving up strength. A copper washer is included.

Four thru axles

Machined in one piece from solid bar stock on high-precision CNC, then hollowed out. No welds, no joins: a light axle that stays stiff and strong.

Hollow axle heads

The axle is not solid. It is cut from a whole aluminum alloy bar in a single CNC pass and hollowed through the center, which saves weight while keeping the axle strong.

Deep 6 mm Hex Socket

A deeper hex socket gives the key more to grip, so it doesn't round out. The recommended torque, 9–13.5 N·m (80–120 in·lbs), is printed on every head.

Copper Washer Included

Copper washer

The 1 mm copper washer sits between the frame and the axle head. It stops the two aluminum parts touching directly, adds friction so the axle locks up easily, and keeps them from seizing together.

How to Choose the Right Axle

Every axle has its size printed on the shaft. Match the code on your current axle and you have the right one.

No code on your axle?

Check your frame or bike maker's specification for the thru-axle length, thread pitch and hub spacing (front 100 mm; rear 142 mm or 148 mm Boost).

Measuring it yourself

Length runs from the underside of the head to the end of the thread. Hub spacing is the inside width between the dropouts; the axle also passes through both dropouts and into the threaded side, so it is always longer than the spacing.
