Hey everyone! Not long ago, I reviewed the WHEELTOP EDS OX v2 wireless MTB upgrade kit, and since then, I’ve received a ton of questions regarding compatibility and installation tweaks. In this video, I’m clearing everything up. First off, the big one: v1 and v2 components are NOT compatible—you cannot mix and match the old shifters with the new derailleurs. However, the OX v2 derailleur is cross-compatible with the GEX gravel series. When it comes to setup, if you're struggling to align the derailleur with the smallest cog, you might need a 1mm spacer on the mounting bolt to push it outwards—a fix often needed but strangely missing from the MTB kits. I also highly recommend applying some blue Loctite, especially on that tiny bolt underneath the OX derailleur which tends to rattle loose. If you’re looking at pulley upgrades, it uses standard 12T wheels, and while Shimano XT or SRAM options might fit, watch out for the cage clearance. Lastly, remember these come set for Shimano spacing by default; if you're running a SRAM cassette, make sure to use the app's unique feature to fine-tune each individual gear for that perfect shift!
