I am going to walk you through the complete installation and setup of the WHEELTOP EDS TT wireless electronic shifting system. Before we begin, make sure to have your 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm hex keys, a PH1 screwdriver, and a torque wrench ready. First, I start with system pairing. I briefly connect the magnetic charger to both the front and rear derailleurs until the blue light indicates pairing mode; once I disconnect, a green light confirms they are paired. For the TT shifter, I remove and reinstall the battery, then press and hold the button to wake the system and enter pairing mode.
Next is the hardware installation. I route the brake hoses and cables through the frame and cockpit, mount the brake calipers, and tighten them to 6–8 Nm. After installing the barb and olive, I secure the compression nut to 5–7 Nm. I then connect the brake lever cables at the extensions, ensuring a secure fit. I slide the brake levers onto the base bar, tightening to 6–8 Nm, and then install the TT shifters, securing them into the extensions at 2–3 Nm.
Before installing the crankset, I apply grease to the threads and spindle, slide it into the bottom bracket, and tighten the bolt to 12–14 Nm, ensuring smooth rotation with no side play. I mount the rear derailleur to the hanger at 8–10 Nm. For the front derailleur, I tighten it to 5–7 Nm, keeping the cage parallel to the chainring with a 1–2 mm clearance. For limit adjustments, I set the chain to the largest cog and small ring to align the low limit, then shift to the smallest cog and large ring for the high limit. I set the B-tension gap to approximately 5–6 mm. Finally, I use the WHEELTOP App for micro-adjustments to achieve perfect, precise shifting.
