WHEELTOP EDS Compatibility Guide: Speeds, Cassette Size and Cage Length

Check WHEELTOP EDS compatibility by speed count, largest cog and cage length before you buy TX, GeX or OX 2.0.

Quick answer: WHEELTOP EDS is set by speed standard in the app, not locked to one speed count. EDS TX (road) supports 7–14 speed with a largest cog of 36T. EDS GeX (gravel) and OX 2.0 (MTB) support 3–14 speed with a largest cog up to 52T, depending on cage length. WHEELTOP derailleurs work with WHEELTOP shifters.

Choosing the Cage Length

Pick the cage by your largest cog:

  • 58mm short cage: up to 32T (OX 2.0)
  • 75mm medium cage: up to 42T (OX 2.0, GeX)
  • 93mm long cage: up to 52T (OX 2.0, GeX)

Setting Your Speed Count in the App

Because indexing is done in software, you choose the speed count of your cassette in the WHEELTOP app, then run the initial calibration and fine-tune.

Shifters

Use WHEELTOP shifters with WHEELTOP derailleurs. Options include TX/GeX disc brake shift levers, rim brake shift levers and flat-bar kits such as TXR and TXF.

Frame and Mounting Checks
